Ambedkar birth anniversary observed in K''taka

Bangalore, Apr 14 (PTI) The 120th birth anniversary of B R Ambedkar
was observed all over the state today with some ministers even shaking
a leg during the celebrations. In Bangalore, Chief Minister B S
Yeddyurappa paid glowing tributes to the architect of the
constitution. In Chamarajnagar in Bangalore, Excise Minister
Renukacharya joined the celebrations by tapping his feet to the
beating of drums even as supporters shouted slogans and hailed the
contribution of the Dalit leader. In Bidar, former Chief Minister
Dharam Singh also joined Minister for Animal Husbandry Revu Naik
Belmagi in shaking a leg, adding colour to the occasion. In Mysore,
dignitaries and citizens offered floral tributes to Ambedkar's statue
in front of the town hall. Speaking on the occasion, Minister S A
Ramdas said the State Government had sanctioned Rs 10 crore for the
construction of Ambedkar Bhavan in the city and assured that
construction would follow soon. He said the Bhavan would house
paintings, photographs and biography of Ambedkar and chronicles of his
