2010 Ambedkar Scholarships

Friends for Education International(FFEI) cordially invites you to its 8th Ambedkar scholarships distribution ceremony.

Date : Aug 20, 2011 at 2pm(Saturday)
Venure : Ambedkar College, Chinaravuru Road, Tenali
Guntur Dist, Andhra Pradesh, India

Chief Guest: Dr S Chellappa, Principal Secretary, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Dept. of Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture

Other guests:

Mr Naresh Penumaka, IRS

Other guests will be announced later

In this function more than 100 scholarships will be distributed to Dalit and scavenging children from AP, UP, Tamilnadu, Orissa, Karnataka. Aid to schools, colleges, and orphanages will also be announced.


In the function, one or more of the following books will be presented to the students:
Dr Kancha Ilaiah's "Turning the Pot Tilling the land"
Dr Ambedkar's biography (in English, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Oriya, and Hindi)

Bhimayana – Experiences of Untouchability, Pictorial book on Dr Ambedkar's life by Durgabai Vyam and Subhash Vyam
