Assembly polls 2012: Priyanka Gandhi hits out at Mayawati, alleges
utter lawlessness in UP

Priyanka Gandhi asks voters to exercise their franchise for a change
in the state.

Congress's star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday targeted
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati as she resumed her election
campaign ahead of the assembly polls in the state, beginning on
February 8.

In the second round of her campaigning, focussing at mother Sonia
Gandhi and brother Rahul's Lok Sabha constituencies Rae Bareli and
Amethi respectively, Priyanka picked corruption as the key issue. She,
however, insisted that anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare was not an
election issue.

Attacking Mayawati in Balbhadrapur area of Amethi, Priyanka alleged
there was utter lawlessness in the state in her regime. She said the
election was referendum on Mayawati's rule.

"People are not getting their rights in their areas, politics has
become bad and opportunistic and moves only because of division of
your vote... If Congress comes back to power in the state, it would
develop Uttar Pradesh," Priyanka said addressing the crowd.

Priyanka reiterated that she would confine herself to 10 assembly
constituencies, which are part of Amethi and Rae Bareli parliamentary
