Dalit teacher beaten up by students in Muzzafarnagar

A Dalit teacher was allegedly beaten up by his students in this
district for not heeding to their warning of leaving his job.

Niten Kumar had been warned against teaching in the college by the
students. He was thrashed severely yesterday when he was about to
deboard a bus for college, police said.

According to police, the accused have been suspended from the college
and a case under Dalit Atrocities Prevention Act in addition to a
criminal case has been lodged against them.
