Lalitpur, UP: A 35-year-old Dalit woman was allegedly abducted and
gangraped for nearly a week, a senior officer said in Lalitpur
district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
The woman was abducted on November 6 from Sadar Kanta area in the city
by Chottelal Jha and his aide while she was going to her parents house
in Gandhi Nagar locality, Superintendent of Police Akash Kulhari said.
The two men then took the woman to Mayaon village where they along
with four others raped her for a week, the SP said.
"The woman somehow later managed to escape from their clutches and
reached her in-laws' house. The couple informed the police about the
incident on Tuesday after which an FIR was lodged at Kotwali," he
said.
