'Obstruction of yatra unfair, irrational'

NALGONDA: Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) president Manda
Krishna Madiga has termed the obstruction of the 'Odarpu Yatra' of
Kadapa Congress MP Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy by pro-Telangana protesters
in Mahabubabad in Warangal district as unfair and irrational. Mr
Krishna Madiga who was on his way to Vijayawada made a brief halt at
the R&B guesthouse in Suryapet on Sunday.

He told mediapersons that every citizen had a right to tour any part
of the country and express his views. "It is unfair to curtail this
freedom and politicise the 'Odarpu yatra' which was a personal
affair," he remarked.

Charge against Sonia

"Telangana struggle is a mighty movement which cannot be weakened by
individual tours," he observed. Congress president Sonia Gandhi is
adopting delaying tactics on separate Telangana and the TDP president
N Chandrababu Naidu is indulging in doublespeak on the issue, he
alleged. TRS leaders Harish Rao and E Rajender besides the Telangana
JAC convener Kodandaram, who camped in Mahabubabad for three days
ahead of Mr Jagan's tour, were not seen at the railway station during
the violence, he pointed out, adding that Konda Surekha and other
leaders remained at the scene along with their supporters despite the
volatile situation.

Dig at Jana

Taking a dig at former Home Minister K Jana Reddy, Mr Krishna Madiga
alleged that Mr Jana Reddy was resorting to double standards with
regard to Mr. Jagan's yatra.
