MRPS condemns removal of Shankar Rao

Nizamabad: Activists of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) found
fault with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for sacking Shankar Rao
from the cabinet and termed him as an anti-Dalit chief minister.

The district unit of MRPS staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate
here on Saturday and threatened the government to intensify its
protest condemning the humiliation act against Shankar Rao.

"On several occasions, Minister D L Ravindra Reddy and PCC Chief Botsa
Satyanarayana openly flayed the Chief Minister and found fault with
his style of function. But no action has been taken against them. When
Shankar Rao made remarks against his colleague, the Chief Minister
dismissed Shankar Rao immediately without conducting a probe into the
allegations," the MRPS leaders alleged.

Nalgonda: Condemning the act of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for
removing Shankar Rao from his cabinet, Madiga Reservation Porata
Samithi (MRPS) staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here on
Saturday.

The MRPS alleged that Shankar Rao was sacked from the cabinet because
he belonged to Dalit community and with his removal; the Chief
Minister's true colours came to light.

"Despite the upper caste leaders committing many irregularities and
involving in various scams, the Chief Minister does not prefer to take
any action but when a Dalit leader makes remarks against an upper
caste leader, Kiran Kumar Reddy, instead of directing a probe into the
allegations, is protecting people of his community and initiating
action against those who leveled the charges," Kiran Kumar, MRPS
district president alleged.

He further said that the MRPS would continue its protest against the
removal of Shankar Rao in the days to come and will also express its
resentment by wearing black badges on the Republic Day, January 26.
