Dalit IAS officer accuses MP govt of harassment

A woman IAS officer in Madhya Pradesh has accused the state government
of harassing her for being a Dalit.

The officer, Shashi Karnavat, alleged that she was framed in a fake
case of financial irregularities about 12 years ago and even after she
got a clean chit from the probe committee, the government has refused
to take the case against her back.

Hitting out at Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the senior
officer alleged that he was protecting the corrupt.

Karnavat has also threatened to appeal to the National Commission for
Women and approach anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare for justice.
