Naxal-hit villages declared Ambedkar villages

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati on Monday directed the officers
to declare all Naxal-affected villages as "Ambedkar villages".
Mayawati said that developmental activities should be speeded up in
these villages. Mayawati said basic facilities like health, education,
road, electricity, drinking water, distribution of pattas and dgrains
should be taken up on priority in all Naxal affected districts.
The Chief Minister issued these instructions after a meeting of
division commissioners and other senior officers attended by Cabinet
Secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh, Chief Secretary AK Gupta, additional
cabinet secretary Netram, Principal secretary (Information) VS Pandey
and Principal Secretary (Home) Kunwar Fatehbahadur.

said work on the approved schemes should start without further delay.
She said no objection certificate from forest department or from the
