BAGLUNG: Normal life in Baglung has been affected due to a banda
called by local Dalit Community Network on Friday protesting against
the killing a Dalit.
The Dalit network has been demonstrating in Baglung district
headquarters since early morning to protest the murder of local Man
Bahadur Sunar at Maidhara of the VDC, who was murdered after he
touched the kitchen of a hotel in Jubidha VDC-6 in Kalikot district.
The banda organisers have demanded to declare Sunar the martyr,
provide necessary compensation to the family of the deceased, manage
education and job to Sunar's children, and take action against the
guilty.
Following the banda, long and short distance vehicles from Baglung to
different destinations were disrupted and all the industries and local
markets remained closed.
