Dalit women in Orissa ransacked liquor shop

Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: In a bizarre incident about one
hundred Dalit women form Chandapur village in Biridi block on Saturday
ransacked a liquor shop locates in Biridi Bazar.
The angry downtrodden women vent their ire due to this government
affiliated license liquor shop their husbands and kin have become
obsess taking liquor and has become matter of concern for sustaining
livelihood so they demanded to cancel the license of alleged liquor
shop.
Report said the liquor shop was damaged and the owner shop remained
mute during the protest as few women threw stone and entered the shop
later the victim shop owner has lodged an FIR in Biridi police station
against four women and police have picked up one woman and sent to
court.
