Financial aid for SC/ST students

LUCKNOW: Government of India will provide financial assistance of Rs
8,000 for a period of 10 months and a facility of free hostel to
students belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribe categories
who are seeking admission in class IX, said director, department of
social welfare Misri Lal Paswan.
He said that the admission of students in the financial year 2011-2012
will be made on the basis of competitive admission test to be held on
June 28.
Only those students will be allowed to appear in the competitive
admission test who had passed the class VIII examination.
