Four get life term in dalit murder case

Gonda (UP), Apr 9 (PTI) A local court today sentenced four persons to
life imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 20,000 each on them in a
dalit murder case.
On September 21, 2002, Ram Narain was beaten to death by the convicts
Panchu, Gindhuri, Ramrang and Siyaram over a land dispute in Sotia
village, prosecution said.
On the basis of evidences and eyewitnesses statement, special judge T
B Singh held the accused guilty and sentenced them to life
imprisonment.
