Ranvir Sena member arrested

Gaya, Jun 10 (PTI) A member of the proscribed Ranbir Sena, suspected
to be involved in massacre of dalits in 1996, was arrested in Bihar's
Gaya district today, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended Ranjay Sharma from Puri
village in the district, SSP Amit Lodha said.

Sharma was allegedly involved in the massacre of dalits in Khagri and
Jahir areas of Gaya in 1996, which was carried out by Ranvir Sena -- a
private militia of Bihar landlords.
