Dalit org: Not involved in move to replace scripture

Jalandhar, Feb 11 (PTI) Dalit organisation Ambedkar Sena today claimed
it was not involved in the move to replace 'Birs' (copies) of Guru
Granth Sahib from Ravidass temples and Gurudwaras.
The sena's state president Harbhajan Suman, who was was arrested on
Saturday for allegedly attempting to replace the Guru Granth Sahib at
a Ravidass temple and released on Tuesday, claimed his organisation
had no role in the act and its activists had been implicated by the
police.
"We challenge the government to produce any evidence of complicity of
Sena activists in the act. We have nothing to do with it as we follow
Dr Ambedkar and have adopted Buddhism," he said and added the Sena was
not "pro or anti any granth (scripture)" but a community had the right
to follow any holy book.
